7-Footer Kalkbrenner Signs With Creighton

The Creighton men’s basketball club will have a 7-foot center on its roster next season. 

Ryan Kalkbrenner from Trinity Catholic High in St. Louis has signed a letter of intent with CU.  He chose the Bluejays over offers from Kansas, Purdue and Stanford among other schools.

Kalkbrenner is ranked 69th overall and 11th among centers nationally by Rivals.com.  He averaged 13.9 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.9 blocks per game during his junior season of high school.
