What’s on Tap in Week 2 of Prep Football Season

It’s week 2 of the high school football season. 

Columbus High will try to rebound from a 28-14 loss at Norfolk last Thursday when the Discoverers visit Lincoln Southwest.  The Discoverers are 1-1, while the Silver Hawks are 1-0 after a 35-0 win at Lincoln High in their season opener last Friday.  It’s a 4:30 p.m. kickoff on Friday and you can hear play-by-play on KLIR 101. 

Scotus plays its first road game, as the Shamrocks visit defending C-1 state champion Pierce.  The Shamrocks are 1-0 after edging Aquinas 3-0, while the Bluejays are 0-1 following a 23-6 loss at Wahoo last Friday.  The 7 p.m. game will be broadcast on 93.5 The Hawk. 

Lakeview hits the road after a season-opening 28-3 home loss to Ashland-Greenwood.  The Vikings visit Boys Town.  The Cowboys were shaded at Auburn 20-19 last Friday. 

The game scheduled for KZ-100 this Friday has 0-1 Fullerton taking on 1-0 Howells-Dodge in Howells starting at 7 p.m.
