Volleyball: CHS Tops Norfolk, Lakeview Wins Twice, Scotus Falls

A relentless offensive attack carried Columbus volleyball to a home sweep of archrival Norfolk last night.
The Discoverers beat the Panthers 25-21, 25-19, 25-17. CHS won for the 11th time in 13 matches to up its record to 16-11.
Lakeview’s volleyball club posted a pair of 2-0 home wins as the Central Conference tournament opened. The Vikings beat Lexington 25-14, 25-12, then got past Crete 25-23, 25-22. Lakeview has won five straight matches to improve to 18-6.
Scotus fell at Bishop Neumann 3-1. The Shamrocks lost 17-25, 21-25, 25-19, 17-25. Scotus has lost five of its last six matches and is 9-16.
