Twin River School Locked Down During Altercation Between Student and Parent

GENOA- The Nance County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident Friday morning on the same block as the Twin River School in Genoa.

There were multiple Nance County Deputies and State Troopers that responded to a confrontation between a high school student and a parent. A rifle and a shotgun were located in a vehicle off campus. The student did not have any firearms on campus or in the campus parking lots. Both the student and parent were briefly detained.

While the incident was being investigated, the school was put into a lock out status for 20 minutes.
