Blackshirts Look to Extend Two Impressive Streaks at Wisconsin

Nebraska football’s defense will try to extend a couple of impressive streaks on Saturday night at Wisconsin.

The Blackshirts have not allowed a rushing touchdown for five straight games.  It’s the longest such streak for NU since 1996.  The Huskers defense has also limited five consecutive opponents to 20 or fewer points, which hadn’t been done since the final eight games of the 2009 season.

Wisconsin features a balanced offensive attack under first-year head coach Luke Fickell.  The Badgers are averaging about 154 yards rushing and 218 yards passing per contest.  Their defense has given up just over 333 total yards and 19.6 points per game.

Saturday’s kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m.  The pregame starts at 2:30 on News Talk 900 KJSK and at 6 p.m. on 93.5 The Hawk.
