Shamrocks Volleyball Halts Ten-Match Losing Skid vs. Vikings

The Scotus volleyball team ended a ten-match losing streak to Lakeview last night. 

The Shamrocks downed the Vikings 3-2 at the Dowd Activity Center.  Scotus, which hadn’t beaten its crosstown rival since 2019, won 22-25, 26-24, 25-17, 16-25, 15-12. 

Joanna Rusher led the Shamrocks with 11 kills and five blocks.  Lakeview’s Taylor Helms had a match-high 19 kills and added 21 digs.  Scotus has won three straight matches and is 7-9.  The Vikings fell to 11-5 and lost Kiara Kula to injury in the second set. 

Both teams will play in Saturday’s Columbus Classic at Lakeview.
