Rhule Says Husker QB’s Need to Be “More Intentional”

Nebraska’s football team has committed 27 turnovers in 10 games this season.

In last Saturday’s loss to Maryland, three Husker quarterbacks combined to throw four interceptions.  Coach Matt Rhule said yesterday he has talked to the QB’s about being more intentional.

“We can’t just throw balls up to a spot thinking the guy is going to be there,” Rhule said.  “At the end of the day we have to be intentional at quarterback, every ball you throw is a ball you want to throw.  We had twice where we had guys throw interceptions, stepping back and just letting it rip.  That’s not who we are, that’s not who we should be.”

The Huskers visit Wisconsin this Saturday, with both teams coming into the game with 5-5 records.  Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m.  The pregame starts at 2:30 on News Talk 900 KJSK and at 6 p.m. on 93.5 The Hawk.
