RCUT Construction Project To Begin On Highway 81/Highway 91

HUMPHREY- Weather permitting, construction work will begin the week of July 13 on Highway 81/North Highway 91, beginning one-half mile south and extending to one-half mile north of the Highway 81/North Highway 91 junction, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Work will consist of concrete pavement widening in the construction of a Restricted Crossing U-Turn, or RCUT, to improve highway safety. Traffic will be reduced to one lane and will be controlled by flaggers or temporary traffic control devices. Anticipated completion is fall 2020.

Motorists are reminded to use caution when driving in and near construction zones.
