Prep Sports Highlights From Labor Day Weekend

In prep sports highlights over the Labor Day weekend, Molly Goc shot an 83 to earn ninth place at the Islander Invite. Columbus High finished 10th as a team in Grand Island with a score of 416.
In boys tennis, Carter Goc and Jacob Rother claimed the silver medal in No. 1 doubles at Columbus High’s Invite. The Discoverers finished in a tie for sixth in the team standings.
In cross country, the Scotus girls won the Boone Central Invite, while the Columbus High boys were runner-ups. The Shamrocks Hannah Heinrich finished second individually and the Discoverers Heath Dahlke was fifth in the boys 5K run.
