Postseason Softball: Discoverers Play Today, Vikings on Saturday

Columbus High’s softball team opens postseason play today in Lincoln.
The Discoverers are the No. 3 seed out of four teams in the A-5 district tournament. They take on No. 2 seed Lincoln North Star in a 3 p.m. game.
After losing the opening game in the subdistrict tourney it hosted, Lakeview softball is seeded ninth in the Class B district finals. The Vikings will visit No. 8 seed Scottsbluff on Saturday morning.
In Class C district finals, Aquinas will host GACC and Twin River visits Freeman on Friday, while Central City entertains Malcolm on Saturday.
