NU Volleyball Frustrated by Hot-Serving Texas in Title Tilt
Nebraska’s volleyball team was frustrated by hot-serving Texas Sunday, as the Longhorns swept the Huskers in the NCAA tournament championship.
Texas had 12 aces in the match, the most by a Husker opponent in the rally-scoring era, which dates back to 2001. Texas took the lopsided title match 25-22, 25-14, 25-11, giving the Longhorns back-to-back championships and four overall.
The Huskers finished at 33-2 and as the NCAA runner-up for the sixth time, rather than winning their sixth title.
