Nebraska, Creighton Hoops Teams All Open Regular Season Monday

The men’s and women’s basketball clubs at Nebraska and Creighton are all getting ready to start the regular season next Monday. 

The Husker men fell to Colorado 72-61 in an exhibition game Sunday in Boulder.  The regular season for Fred Hoiberg’s team begins against Maine.  Monday’s tipoff at Pinnacle Bank Arena is set for 7 p.m. 

Ninth-ranked Creighton posted a 109-57 exhibition victory over Division II Drury on Sunday.  The Bluejays will host St. Thomas in their opener, with tipoff set for 7:30 p.m. at CHI Health Center. 

In women’s hoops, NU topped Washburn 70-27 in an exhibition contest Sunday at PBA.  Nebraska will host Omaha Monday at Noon.  And following a 97-34 tuneup against Truman State last Saturday, Creighton visits South Dakota State that night for its regular season lid-lifter.
