Matt Rhule Era at Nebraska Begins With Frustrating Loss

The Matt Rhule era at Nebraska began with a frustrating loss, as Minnesota rallied to beat Nebraska 13-10.

The Huskers led 10-3 after a Tristan Alvano field goal with less than 13 minutes left in the game.  But after the game, Rhule talked about how the Huskers’ four turnovers gave the Gophers their fifth straight win over NU.

“To think we turned it over twice…TWICE…in the last two minutes of the game and they still had to kick a walk-off field goal” Rhule said.  “I thought the defense was dominant for long stretches….but for us this was the first game and we saw the things that we need to improve upon.”

The Huskers will look to improve on ball security before their next game at Colorado next Saturday.
