Larson, Wong-Orantes Help Team USA Sweep China

Former Huskers Jordan Larson and Justine Wong-Orantes helped turn an Olympic showdown between the top two women’s volleyball teams in the world into a one-sided affair. 

The United States women moved to 2-0 in pool play at the Tokyo Games last night with a sweep of defending gold medalist China.  The scores were 29-27, 25-22, 25-21.  Larson had 11 kills and eight digs, ranking third on the American squad in each category.  Wong-Orantes led Team USA with a match-high 16 digs. 

The U.S. next plays Turkey on Thursday.
