Lakeview’s Legion Baseball Clubs Split vs. Twin River

Lakeview’s American Legion baseball teams earned a split against Twin River last night at Pawnee Park. 

The Bank of the Valley Lakeview Seniors broke a 6-all tie with three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to win 9-6.  Lakeview’s leadoff batter Jack Faust went 3-for-4 with a triple and scored three runs.  Caden Kapels had three RBI and Caleb Sloup knocked in a pair of runs as Bank of the Valley improved to 10-3. 

In the early game, the Owens Wealth Advisors Lakeview Junior Reds fell 7-5.  The game was tied at 4-4 after six innings.  Twin River scored three runs in the top of the seventh, while the Junior Reds could only muster one run in their final at-bat.  Lakeview’s Juniors finished the regular season with a 7-7 record.
