Junior Legion Baseball Area Tourney Scores Tuesday

In Junior Legion area tournaments last night, Central City suffered its first loss, falling to Battle Creek 4-1 in B5 action in St. Paul. 

The host team staved off elimination with an 8-5 victory over O’Neill.  St. Paul is set to meet Battle Creek today at 5 p.m. in a matchup of teams that are 3-1 in the tourney.  Top-seeded Central City, also 3-1, awaits the winner in tonight’s championship game at 8 p.m. 

In the C5 Juniors area tournament at Silver Creek, top-seed Twin River bowed to Central Valley/PWG 12-0.  Twin River is out of the tourney after going 2-2.  Ord is 2-1 and needs to beat 3-0 Central Valley/PWG twice tonight to earn the area title.
