Huskers Rally For Five Late Runs and Win at College of Charleston

Nebraska baseball rallied for four runs in the ninth and another in the 10th for a 6-5 win at College of Charleston Thursday.

Trailing 5-1 in the ninth, the Huskers scored four runs on two hits and a Charleston error.  Riley Sliva delivered the key hit, a two-run single to tie the series opener at 5-all.

Clay Bradford led off the top of the 10th with a ground-rule double to left-center.  A sacrifice bunt moved Bradford to third with one out.  Cole Evans followed with a chopper to third and Bradford beat the throw to the plate to put NU up 6-5.

In the bottom of the 10th, a one-out single and a two-walk put the tying and go-ahead runs on base for the Cougars.  Tucker Timmerman came on in relief and induced a ground ball back to the mound for the third out as he collected his first save.

With the win, the Huskers improved to 5-3 on the season.
