Huskers, Pitt Have Nation’s Top Two Volleyball Defenses

Top-ranked Nebraska squares off against No. 4 Pittsburgh in the NCAA volleyball tournament semifinals tonight. 

The winner will advance to Sunday’s championship against either third-ranked Wisconsin or No. 5 Texas. 

Tonight’s match between the Huskers and Panthers pit the nation’s top two defenses against each other.  NU ranks first nationally holding opponents to .134 hitting, while Pitt is second at .138, and both teams are holding their foes under .100 in the tournament. 

First serve tonight in Tampa is set for 6 p.m.  The pregame starts at 5 on News Talk 900 KJSK.
