Huskers Men Secure No. 3 Seed, Double-Bye in Big Ten Tourney

Keisei Tominaga scored 30 points and Nebraska earned a double-bye for the Big Ten tournament with an 85-70 win at Michigan Sunday.

The Huskers improved to 22-9 and 12-8 in conference play.  The 22 wins ranks as the second-highest total in school history.

NU will be the No. 3 seed in Minneapolis and will be off until Friday’s quarterfinals.  The Huskers will play at approximately 8 p.m. against either Indiana, Penn State or Michigan.

No. 11 seed Penn State will meet No. 14 Michigan in Wednesday’s opening round.  The winner of that matchup will play sixth-seeded Indiana Thursday with the winner playing Nebraska Friday night on News Talk 900 KJSK.
