Husker Baseball Opens Midweek Series at Wichita State Tonight
Nebraska’s baseball team opens a two-game, midweek series at Wichita State this evening.
The Huskers hold a slim 26-25 advantage in the all-time series against the Shockers. Lefty Will Walsh will start for Nebraska tonight. He has no record and a 6.00 ERA. Wichita State will counter with right-hander Brady Hamilton, who’s 0-1 with a 2.00 ERA.
First pitch is set for 6 p.m. with the pregame starting at 5:30 on News Talk 900 KJSK. Greg Sharpe and David Gustafson will be calling the action.
On Monday, NU junior Rhett Stokes was named Big Ten Player of the Week. He went 9-for-12 at the plate with four doubles and five RBI in three games against South Alabama.
