Good News, Bad News Tuesday Night for NU Women’s Hoops

It was good news, bad news for the Nebraska women’s basketball team last night.
The Huskers romped over Alcorn State 79-32 at Pinnacle Bank Arena, as Alexis Markowski scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds. But, Jaz Shelley suffered an injury early in the game and had to watch the rest of the contest from the bench with a boot on her right foot. Earlier Tuesday, Shelley was one of 50 women’s players nationally named to the Wooden Award watch list.
NU is now 3-0 and will host Creighton on Sunday.
