Girls Win Three Events, Boys Win Twice at Columbus Invite

Liz Wemhoff won two more gold medals to help the Discoverers girls track team finish third out of five teams in Thursday’s Columbus Invite.
Wemhoff set a school record in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.82 seconds. Wehoff also won the 100 meter dash, while Addi Johnson earned gold in the 800 meter run.
In the boys meet, the Discoverers placed fifth in the eight-team field. Dylan Crumley of CHS was first in the long jump. And the 4×400 meter relay team of Izzie Daniels, Dany Rodriguez, Laitenn Braithwait and Heath Dahlke fought off Millard West to win the event.
