Girls State Golf Scores After Monday’s Opening Round

The Scotus girls golf team was third as a team with the Shamrocks Cecilia Arndt tied for fourth on the individual leaderboard after Monday’s opening round of the Class C state golf tournament. 

Scotus carded a team score of 372 at Lake Maloney Golf Club in North Platte.  The Shamrocks were 28 strokes behind first-place Broken Bow.  Arndt shot an 82 and was in a three-way tie for fourth.  Broken Bow’s Camryn Johnson led the field after firing a 71.  Taylor Beierman of Boone Central was third at 78.  Kaitlyn Fleming of Scotus is contending for a medal, as her 92 was tied for 21st.  Fullerton was 11th out of 15 teams. 

Molly Goc of Columbus shot an 87 yesterday in the Class A state tourney at Riverside Golf Club in Grand Island.  She was tied for 24th.  In Class B, Lakeview’s Ali Mueller carded a 109 at Scotts Bluff Country Club, good for 49th place.
