Girls Soccer: Columbus, Scotus Both Edged Last Friday

In prep soccer last Friday, the Columbus girls suffered a tough 3-2 loss in overtime against Lincoln East. 

The Discoverers scored to take a 2-1 lead with five minutes left in the last period of overtime at the CHS turf field.  But, the Spartans rallied with two goals in three minutes to take the win. 

The loss snapped the Discoverers’ winning streak at four as they fell to 6-3. 

Meanwhile, the Scotus girls dropped a 2-1 decision at Norris.  The Shamrocks will take a 4-3 record into a match today at Grand Island Northwest.
