Frenzen: Vikings Need to Work Hard to Continue “Roaring ’20s”

The Lakeview High football team opened fall practice this week.

Lakeview followed up its 2021 Class C1 state championship by making it to the quarterfinals last year.  In his season preview, coach Kurt Frenzen says his team “will need to work extremely hard and catch a few breaks to continue their march through the roaring ‘20s.”

The Vikings have three returning starters on offense.  However, Frenzen says for the second straight year Lakeview will look to replace several of their top playmakers, including 2022 All-State fullback Landon Ternus.  Frenzen writes the Vikings defense returns some nice pieces to the puzzle, with the linebacker corps expected to be a strength of that unit.

Lakeview kicks off its season with a home game against Ashland-Greenwood on Friday, August 25th on 93.5 The Hawk.
