Former Tulane Lefty Transfers to Huskers Baseball Team
Nebraska’s baseball team has added a lefty pitcher to its roster for next season via the transfer portal.
Former Tulane pitcher Grant Cleavinger announced his commitment to the Huskers yesterday on social media.
He made 20 appearances, all but two in relief for the Green Wave last season. In just over 20 innings, the 6-foot-4 southpaw chalked up 32 strikeouts, but also issued 24 walks and uncorked seven wild pitches.
Cleavinger is a native of Lawrence, Kansas. He has three seasons of eligibility left.
His older brother, Garrett, is in his fourth major league season and is currently on Tampa Bay’s injured list.
