Former Husker Conference Foes K-State, OU Play in Bowls Today

Two of Nebraska football’s former conference rivals – Kansas State and Oklahoma – will play in bowl games this evening.

The Wildcats take on North Carolina State in the Pop-Tarts Bowl in Orlando.  Kansas State is 8-4, while the Wolfpack are 9-3 and have a chance to finish with 10 wins for only the second time in program history.

The Sooners meet Arizona in San Antonio’s Alamo Bowl.  For Oklahoma, it’s the beginning of the Jackson Arnold era as the five-star true freshman quarterback will start.  Dillon Gabriel, the first-team Associated Press All-Big 12 quarterback has transferred from OU to Oregon.
