Football: CHS Ends at Home, Scotus at Lakeview, Playoffs Begin
In prep football this week, Columbus wraps up its season with a home game, Scotus meets crosstown-rival Lakeview and the eight-man football playoffs begin.
On Friday, the Discoverers host Lincoln North Star in a game that will be broadcast on 93.5 The Hawk, while the Shamrocks and the Vikings meet at Lakeview on KLIR 101.
Three opening round playoff games will be on the air Thursday. Osceola will host BDS on KZ-100 and Fullerton visits Humphrey St. Francis on The Hawk in D2 action. In D1, Shelby-Rising City entertains Elmwood-Murdock on KLIR 101.
Other D1 playoff matchups on Thursday include Cross County hosting Wisner-Pilger, Clarkson/Leigh at Johnson County Central and Riverside at Elkhorn Valley. In D2, High Plains Community is at Lourdes Central Catholic, Howells-Dodge visits Bloomfield and Central Valley hosts Wausa.
