Falls Sports Season Opens Today for Three Local Teams

The fall sports season gets underway today for a few local teams.
The Columbus High girls golf team will compete in a triangular at Jackrabbit Run against host Grand Island and Kearney. The Discoverers are coming off a 2022 season when they qualified as a team for the Class A state tournament, where they finished eighth.
The Columbus High softball club opens its season with a doubleheader at Lincoln North Star this evening.
Lakeview’s softball team will meet Grand Island Central Catholic this evening at Doniphan-Trumbull.
