Ethan Piper Says Jeff Sims Has Bounced Back “Phenomenally”

Huskers quarterback Jeff Sims threw three interceptions in Nebraska’s season-opening loss at Minnesota. Following yesterday’s practice, offensive lineman Ethan Piper was asked if Sims is bouncing back.
“He’s the type of guy that wears the weight of the team on his shoulders,” Piper said. “I knew he would bounce back. He has bounced back phenomenally,” Piper said.
Piper, a junior out of Norfolk, says he’s excited to return to Boulder. He was with NU at Colorado in 2019 as a freshman, but didn’t play. The Buffaloes won that contest 34-31.
