Discoverers Softball Wins Tourney at Omaha Westview

Columbus High’s softball team took first place at Omaha Westview’s tournament on Saturday. 

The Discoverers opened by routing Benson 14-0 in three innings.  Danica Taylor went 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs.  CHS beat the host Wolverines 5-3 in the championship game.  Callen Heule pitched a seven-inning complete game, allowing three runs on four hits with one walk and six strikeouts. 

Columbus is 2-2.  The Discoverers scheduled doubleheader at Lincoln Southwest on Tuesday has been postponed.
