Discoverers Soccer Clubs Both Record Victories

In prep soccer, the Columbus girls defeated Lincoln Northeast 4-0 Saturday at Seacrest Field. 

Coach Zack Wayman called it a “very dominating performance” by his squad, which took 20 shots on goal and allowed only one.  Abby Haynes scored two goals for CHS, which evened its record at 1-1. 

The Discoverers play at Norfolk Tuesday. 

The Columbus boys posted a 3-1 home win over Millard South, moving to 2-0.  Marcus Beltran led the Discoverers with two goals. 

They welcome Grand Island to the CHS turf field tomorrow night.
