CU Men Win, Will Have Some Home Fans Next Week

Number 9 Creighton never trailed in a 94-76 win at St. John’s last night. 

The Bluejays snared the game’s first 11 rebounds, including six from Christian Bishop who had his first career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. 

Damien Jefferson had 10 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists, while Marcus Zegarowski scored a game-high 20 points. 

CU is now 5-2 overall and 1-1 in the Big East.  The Jays visit UConn on Sunday. 

Creighton will begin to allow limited fan attendance at men’s games next week.  CHI Health Center will be filled up to 10 percent of maximum capacity, beginning next Wednesday against Xavier. 

Meantime in women’s hoops, Creighton lost at number 3 UConn 80-47 last night.  The loss dropped the Bluejays to 2-4 on the season and 1-1 in the conference.  CU visits Villanova tomorrow.
