Cornhusker State Games Opening Ceremonies Are Tonight

Nebraska softball’s Jordy Bahl and former Husker volleyball standout Nicklin Hames will help kick off the 39th annual Cornhusker State Games tonight.
The Opening Night festivities include a torch-lighting and will be held in front of Pinnacle Bank Arena beginning at 7:45 p.m. The games get underway tomorrow through Sunday with swimming at the Fremont YMCA. Here in Columbus, horseshoe pitching and the youth golf state championship will take place this weekend.
More than 10,000 Nebraskans are expected to compete in 70-plus sports over the next three weekends.
