Cornerstone Insurance Group Seniors No-Hit in Area Tourney

One day after scoring 10 runs on eights, the Cornerstone Insurance Group Columbus Seniors were no-hit yesterday in the A6 area tournament. 

On Sunday in Fremont, two Lincoln Northeast pitchers combined on the no-hitter as Northeast posted a 1-0 walk-off win in eight innings.  Both teams are now 1-1 in the tourney. 

After the tournament opener was rained out Friday, Cornerstone beat Norfolk 10-2 in six innings on Saturday.  Quenton Gustafson had three hits and scored three runs, while Connor Rausch and Bentley Willison had three RBI apiece. 

Columbus takes a 14-11 overall record into an elimination game against Fremont today at 4 p.m.
