Columbus Classic Volleyball Tournament Recap

Kearney Catholic won Saturday’s Columbus Classic volleyball tournament, while Lakeview defeated host Scotus in the third place match. 

In the opening round, the Vikings swept Beatrice in two sets, while the Shamrocks needed three sets to defeat Centennial. 

In the semifinals, Lakeview was shaded by Kearney Catholic in two close sets and Scotus was edged by Norfolk Catholic in two tight sets. 

The Lady Vikes topped the Shamrocks 25-12, 25-17 in the third place match.  Kearney Catholic downed Norfolk Catholic 25-18, 27-25 to win the championship.
