Columbus Baseball Beats Westside to End Losing Skid

The Discoverers baseball team snapped a seven-game losing skid last night. 

Columbus defeated Omaha Westside 3-1 at Pawnee Park.  CHS starter Alex Griffith pitched a complete game, scattering seven hits and allowing one run.  The senior racked up nine strikeouts and walked only one batter. 

Jarrett Bell led the Discoverers at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and one run, adding a stolen base.  With the win, Columbus improved to 2-8. 

CHS is playing at home again today, hosting Waverly at 4:30 p.m.
