Colfax County Sheriff Kruse Resigns

SCHUYLER- Colfax County Commissioners have accepted the resignation of Sheriff Paul Kruse effective March 31.

Sheriff Kruse was appointed to his position by the Colfax County Board of Commissioners in April of 2009. Kruse was re-elected as the Colfax County Sheriff in 2010, 2014, and 2018. Colfax County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. K.C. Bang will lead the department until a new Sheriff is named. The County is seeking applications from experienced law enforcement officers for the position of the Colfax County Sheriff.

Prior administrative management, or supervisory experience is requested.
