CHS Football Faces Hot Week of Practice After Dominant Win

It will be a hot week of practice for Columbus High’s football team.
The Discoverers opened their season at home last Friday by dominating Fremont 31-7. Sophomore running back Michael Voichoskie ran for 197 yards on 27 carries and scored two touchdowns, including a 65-yarder. Columbus’ defense held the Tigers to 137 total yards and five first downs. The Discoverers won the F&C Cup for a fourth straight season.
CHS is scheduled to play Thursday night at Maroon Cup rival Norfolk. The 7:00 p.m. game can be heard on KLIR 101 and at mycentralnebraska.com.
