As the Nebraska football team gets ready to visit Purdue on Saturday, defensive coordinator Erik Chinander and offensive coordinator Matt Lubick both spoke to the media yesterday.

Chinander was asked how challenging it is to defend the Boilermakers’ offense that features a lot of different looks.

“We’ve got to be sound in what we do,” Chinander said.  “I don’t think there’s any magic to defending it.  It’s a tough matchup every year.”

Lubick said Purdue’s defense has improved from last year statistically and noted the Boilermakers take pride in not giving up big plays.

Saturday’s kickoff is set for 11 a.m.  The pre-game starts at 6 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK and will be joined at 10:30 on 93.5 The Hawk.
