Central City, PWG Win Junior Legion Area Tourney Titles

Central City and Palmer-Wohlbach-Greeley won Junior Legion area tournament titles last night.
In the B5 tourney at St. Paul, Central City blanked Battle Creek 8-0 in five innings, after Battle Creek defeated the host team 5-3 earlier in the evening. Central City went 4-1 in the tournament to qualify for the Class B Junior state tournament at Alliance.
In the C5 area championship at Silver Creek, PWG beat Ord 11-6. It completed a 4-0 run through the tourney for the No. 3 seed. PWG moves on to the Class C Junior state tournament at Imperial.
