CCC’s Merwick Earns National Weekly Honor

CCC guard Derek Merwick has been named the NJCAA Division II basketball player of the week.
Merwick scored 48 points, pulled down 12 rebounds and dished out 10 assists last week. He tallied a career-high 34 points in the Raiders 87-76 home win over McCook CC last Monday.
Central will battle Southeast CC in the Region 9 championship on Saturday in Beatrice.
