Brackets Set For Boys State Basketball Tournament

The brackets for next week’s boys state basketball tournament are out and all three area teams would be considered underdogs to make it past the quarterfinals.
Humphrey St. Francis is seeded eighth in Class D2. The Flyers face No. 1 seed Shelton next Wednesday at 9 a.m. at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Cross County is the No. 5 seed in the C2 tourney. The Cougars will battle fourth-seeded Summerland Wednesday with a 10:45 a.m. tipoff at the Devaney Sports Center. Riverside doesn’t play its opening game until Thursday, when the No. 7 seed Chargers meet unbeaten Johnson-Brock. It tips off at 6 p.m. at the Devaney.
All three of those teams will have their state tournament games aired on Alpha Media FM stations and at mycentralnebraska.com.
