Bluejays Baseball Hosts Mavericks Tonight

Creighton baseball hosts in-city rival Omaha tonight.
The Bluejays are off to an 11-2 start on the season. CU enters tonight’s action ranked 13th in the NCAA with a .336 team batting average and is 14th in scoring at 10.5 runs per game.
Jays second baseman Matt Scherrman claimed Big East Player of the Week honors yesterday. He helped the Bluejays go 4-1 last week by batting .611 with five doubles, one triple, a home run, seven RBI and seven runs scored.
The Mavericks bring a 2-12 record into tonight’s contest, but have won two straight. First pitch at Charles Schwab Field is set for 6 p.m.
