Zegarowski Still in Naismith Running on Eve of ‘Nova Game

Creighton basketball standout Marcus Zegarowski is one of the 30 players named to the midseason team for the Naismith Player of the Year. 

Zegarowski is averaging almost 14-and-a-half points, 4.3 assists and 4 rebounds per game for the Bluejays this season.  The winner of the Naismith Trophy will be announced on April 4, one day before the NCAA national championship game.  

Number 19 Creighton will host fifth-ranked Villanova in a showdown tomorrow.  Tipoff at CHI Health Center is set for 4 p.m. 

The game will be televised nationally by FOX.
