Wrestling: Discoverers Downed by Islanders in Opener

Columbus High’s boys wrestling team dropped its season and home opener last night.  The Discoverers were downed by Grand Island 49-25. 

Blake Cerny and Liam Blaser both recorded pins for CHS.  The Islanders posted seven pins in the dual.  Columbus will compete in the Bennington Invite tomorrow. 

Lakeview boys wrestling will host an invitational today that includes Scotus and several area teams.  The Vikings girls wrestling squad will host a five-team invite today that includes Fullerton and Schuyler.
