Wrestling: CHS Boys Ninth in 41-Team Field, Scotus Sixth Out of 10

In prep wrestling, Columbus High’s boys placed ninth out of 41 teams that competed in the Council Bluffs Wrestling Classic Friday and Saturday. 

Individually for the Discoverers, Mason Petersen earned second place at 150 pounds, Jaeston Delano took third at 175 and Carter Booze was fourth at 106. 

The Scotus Central Catholic boys finished sixth of out 10 clubs in a duals tournament at Raymond Central.  The Shamrocks dropped their first two matches, falling to Crofton/Bloomfield 39-31 and to Battle Creek 77-5.  The ‘Rocks rebounded to defeat Oakland-Craig 63-0 and Conestoga 43-21, before falling in the fifth place match to Bishop Neumann 43-35.
