Wood Named Head Softball Coach at Creighton

Three-time Summit League Coach of the Year Krista Wood has been named head softball coach at Creighton.
Wood has spent the past eight seasons as head coach at South Dakota State. During that time, she led the Jackrabbits to a 238-164 record. Wood earned the league’s coach of the year accolades in 2018, 2021 and 2022. Her team posted NCAA tournament wins over Stanford in 2021 and Villanova this season.
She owns a 508-318 career record, which also includes eight seasons at Wayne State College.
