Women’s College Basketball Weekend Recap

In women’s college basketball on Sunday, Nebraska was downed by number 22 Iowa 95-86 at Pinnacle Bank Arena. 

Sam Haiby led four Huskers in double figures with 18 points, but Caitlin Clark erupted for 31 points for the Hawkeyes. Clark also had 12 assists in posting her sixth double-double of the season.  NU slipped to 13-2 overall, 2-2 in the Big Ten. 

Meanwhile, Creighton fell at number 11 UConn, 63-55.  The Bluejays are 10-4 on the season and 5-1 in the Big East. 

The CCC women went 0-2 over the weekend.  The Raiders were defeated 76-58 at North Platte CC on Friday, then lost 71-54 at McCook CC on Saturday.  Central has lost three straight and seven of its last eight games to fall to 6-8.
