Wolfpack Heads to Omaha, CWS First Round Matchups Set

North Carolina State secured the final spot in the College World Series with an 8-5 victory at Georgia last night. 

The Wolfpack will make the program’s fourth trip to Omaha.  NC State improved to 38-21 after posting its 18th win in the past 23 games.  

North Carolina State is the fourth ACC team to make it to Omaha this year, and there are four SEC clubs in the tournament.  It will begin Friday with North Carolina meeting Virginia at 1 p.m. and Tennessee vs. Florida State at 6 p.m.  Saturday’s games pit Kentucky against NC State at 1 p.m. and Texas A&M taking on Florida at 6 p.m.
